Spay and Neuter Today is dedicated to saving the lives of animals.
ANIMAL RESCUE. Every year, thousands of animals in our area are orphaned, injured, abandoned or at risk of death outdoors and in animal shelters. Without a temporary caregiver, these animals face an uncertain fate, but we change that outcome for as many as we can.
SAVING LIVES. The mission of Spay and Neuter Today is to make the world a safer place for animals, one kitty at a time! We build and operate programs like our Kitten Calvary satellite care locations, our expert Medical Program for animals in our care, our Cat Sanctuary and more.
EXPERT VETERINARY CARE. Dr. Don Dowty, DVM, Purdue University, brings more than 45 years of veterinary expertise and compassionate care to his patients. Deborah Dowty brings more than 30 years of nursing care to animals, and those she fosters and cares for in the Cat Sanctuary.
TRAINED VOLUNTEER CAREGIVERS. Our small and fiercely dedicated group of satellite caregivers is made up of about 6 families. These satellite care locations are spread between the Outer Banks of NC to the Elizabeth City area. Our caregivers are trained in animal welfare, and have 24/7 access to expert medical care.
